YIT officially becomes Alta Material Handling, strengthening its presence in Canada

This rebranding marks the next phase in Alta’s strategic expansion into the Canadian market.

Alta Equipment Group acquired YIT on July 29, 2022, integrating four key locations in Ontario and Quebec into its operations. Since then, YIT has operated under the banner of YIT, an Alta Company. Effective July 12, 2024, these locations will officially be known as Alta Material Handling, reflecting their full integration into the Alta family.
